Roger E. Broggie was a mechanical engineer and the first Disney Imagineer. He began his Disney career in 1939 in the Camera Department and later established the Disney Studio machine shop. He later headed the manufacturing area of WED Enterprises/Walt Disney Imagineering. He retired in 1975 and was named a Disney Legend in 1990.
