Disney, Roy Oliver

Roy Oliver Disney, born 24 June 1893, founded the Disney company in partnership with his brother Walter Elias Disney in 1923. He was the president of Walt Disney Productions from 1954 to 1968 and chairman of the board from 1964 until 1971. After Walt’s death in 1966, Roy took assumed leadership of the company and supervised the Mineral King year-round resort project and the construction of Walt Disney World.  He died on 20 December 1971.
