Donn Tatum joined Walt Disney Productions as production business manager in 1956 . After 1960, he became vice president of television sales and vice president of administration. He served as president of Walt Disney Productions from 1968 to 1971 as chairman of the board and chief executive officer from 1971 to 1980. He was chairman of the executive committee from 1980 to 1983. He was posthumously named a Disney Legend.
